Finding what the words Quan and Chi actually mean proves to be a difficult task. Quan is an East Asian surname, yet due to a combination of Jerry McGuire and slang in general, it has developed many meanings.
The most fitting for this powdery character seems to be "the ultimate; the almighty; the maximum overlord" Finding meaning for Chi was even worse, as he isn't like Tai Chi or Chai Tea. I suppose he has his own (dark) energy, and chi is a type of energy relative to feng shui.
As I'd suspected, Quan Chi is, in fact, a far greater threat than Shao Kahn. I wonder if this is where Mortal Kombat 10 will pick up.His fatality (namely the first one) is beyond brutal simply because he does not stop!
